VISIT TO CIPS – UZBEKISTAN DELEGATION – 25 OCT 2017
A 10 member Uzbekistan Delegation from Ministry of Defence headed by Lieutenant Colonel Isakolov Dilmurad Ollomuradovich, Head of International Military Cooperation and Deputy Defence Minister visited CIPS/ Peacekeeping Training Department on 25 Oct 2017. They were to explore prospects of enhancing cooperation in UN/ PKO related issues. The visitors were received by Principal NIPCONS Major General Mazhar Saleem Khan (Retd). After the welcome remarks, a detailed briefing on NUST/ CIPS and Peacekeeping Training by PKT Head of Department was given to the Delegation in the Board Room. After the briefing the members asked various questions regarding the conduct and methodology of Peacekeeping Training. They were inquisitive about challenges faced by the Peacekeepers under the new threats, Integrated Training Methodology, Uniformity of Training within Peacekeeping Training Centers and the NUST hybrid arrangement. Thereafter, the delegates were taken around the department. After light refreshment, the delegation was seen off by Principal NIPCONS with an understanding that this first initiative of military cooperation on Peacekeeping Training aspects between Uzbekistan and Pakistan should continue.
