VISIT TO CIPS – KAZAKHSTAN DELEGATION – 25 OCT 2017
A 3 member Kazakhstan Delegation headed by Colonel Anatoliy Andreevich Deputy Chief of Department of Combat training visited CIPS/ Peacekeeping Training Department at CIPS/ NUST Islamabad on 25 Oct 2017. He was accompanied by Deputy Commander of military unit and Chief of Division of International cooperation. They were to explore prospects of enhancing cooperation in UN/ PKO related issues. The visitors were received by Associate Dean Brig Dr Tughral Yamin (Retd). After the welcome remarks, a detailed briefing on NUST/ CIPS and Peacekeeping Training by PKT Head of Department was given to the participants in the Board Room. The members were quite inquisitive and asked questions about different challenges to the Peacekeepers under the new threats, Integrated Training Methodology, Uniformity of Training within Peacekeeping Training Centers and the NUST hybrid arrangement. Thereafter, the delegates were taken around the department. During their visit to the classroom they met officers from Kazakhstan who were undergoing International Military Observer Course. After staying for two hours the delegates were seen off with the mutual assurance to strengthen cooperation between the two Countries especially on Peacekeeping Training aspects.
