VISIT OF PAKISTAN DELEGATION TO WITTNESS PRE- DEPLOYMENT TRAINING OF FRENCH OPERATIONAL UNITS IN PARIS
Government of France invited a Delegation from Pakistan Army Peacekeeping Training Department to witness Pre-Deployment training of French Operational Units being organized at Chalon en Champagne (Near Paris) from 6 – 8 June 2018. The visit was aimed to provide an opportunity to learn the latest trends in UN training being adopted by France with the objective of helping Pakistan peacekeeping training standard especially for the Pakistan contingent who are largely deployed in francophone countries.
The delegation was led by Brig Imran Rashid (Retd) along with Major Fida Muhammed ex MO Directorate. The delegation visited Specialized Headquarters for Overseas Territories and Foreign Countries. This Headquater is the face or French Armed Forces for overseas territories which acts as a training center for Francophone Peacekeeping operations as well as training the participants for better understanding of interculturality as part of pre- deployment training. Another Centre visited was Command Post Training and Control Centre located outside Paris. This center facilitates the operational training of the Army Command Posts at Division, Brigade, and Battalion levels in different scenarios like High-Intensity Conflict, Train for the planned overseas deployment, and Crisis deployment within very short notice. The visit was beneficial in bilateral defense cooperation and a number of other avenues to enhance mutual collaboration among Pakistan and France.
