UN QUADRENNIAL PERSONAL COST SURVEY AND ASSESSMENT AND ADVISORY TEAM VISIT TO CIPS
A four member UN Quadrennial Personal Cost Survey & Assessment and Advisory Team led by Brigadier General El Hadji Babacar Faye, COS, Office of Military Affairs, Dept of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) visited CIPS/ Peacekeeping Training Dept on 16 Jan 2018. The Team also had officials from UN Budget Division, Police division and reimbursement policy and liaison section DFS. They were received by Associate Dean CIPS Brig Dr Tughral Yamin (retd). They were briefed on various training activities undertaken by CIPS/ Peacekeeping Training Dept. The team took keen interest in the CIPS hybrid model of integrating Peacekeeping Training with intellectual pursuits of international peace and conflict issues for promoting/ understanding of different spectrum of Peacekeeping and various shades of civil-military diplomacy They team members appreciated CIPS for having a dedicated Research and Analysis setup/cell which assists the training team of keeping abreast with UN priorities in an ever evolving challenges which the Peacekeepers face in various missions.
After a detailed briefing, followed by discussion the team visited different training areas/ facilities of CIPS and appreciated the focused training as per Integrated Training Service (ITS) policies, guidelines and SOPs.
After the briefing, visit and group photo the team were seen off in the afternoon.
