National Institute of Security Studies (NISS) Nigeria – 6th September 2021.

A delegation comprising 24 members from the National Institute of Security Studies (NISS), a leading security training institute in Abuja, Nigeria, visited CIPS on 16th September 2021. The visit was a part of the Foreign Study Tour (FST). The delegation was given a comprehensive briefing on CIPS with a special focus on peacekeeping training. The delegations from both sides discussed expansion in collaboration against violent extremism and the need for sharing a common experience and intelligence cooperation. The head of the delegation said that Pakistan and the Nigerian army had maintained close military ties for nearly 40 years. Many Nigerian army officers have also attended various Peacekeeping courses at CIPS.
