KAZAKHSTAN DELEGATION VISIT

A two member delegation headed by Col Kanat AUBAKIROV, Commandant Kazakhstan Peacekeeping Training Centre and Lt Col Radik ZAKIROV, Chief Training and Security Officer visited Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS) and Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System (PCRS) at Islamabad and Rawalpindi on 25 and 26 Sep 2018 respectively. The visit was coordinated by Military Operations Directorate, GHQ.

On 25 Sep 18 the delegation visited CIPS where they were briefed about Pakistan’s contribution to UN Peacekeeping Missions since 1960 and was also given a detailed briefing about UN Integrated Training Service (ITS) methodology/ regime as per which training is conducted at  CIPS. The delegates were also taken around the training facilities at CIPS. They also witnessed/ interacted with the ongoing International UN Staff officer Course which besides many other foreign participants, had participation of two officers from Kazakhstan. Later a dinner was also hosted in the honor of the delegation.

On 26 Sep 2018, the delegation visited Pakistan Peacekeeping Capability Readiness System, transit facility. Thereafter, the delegates participated in the “International Day of Peace” celebration under the 2018 Theme “The Right to Peace – The Universal Declaration of Human Rights at 70”  at NUST / CIPS which included a talk at on the theme at Jinnah Auditorium and a Peace walk around NUST which was participated by NUST students and faculty members.

VIP protocols were given to the delegation during their stay and were accommodated in NUST Guest Room.  The delegation was seen off on 27 Sep 2018.
