In The Spotlights CIPS and IRS Islamabad MOU Signed

NUST Centre for International Peace & Stability #CIPS and Institute of Regional Studies #IRS Islamabad, entered into a general agreement for cooperation on January 25, 2021. The agreement was signed by Associate Dean CIPS, Professor Dr Tughral Yamin, and President IRS Ambassador Nadeem Riyaz at a ceremony held at the NUST Main Campus.
Spanning for a period of three years, the agreement intends to establish a one-on-one cooperation between the two institutions in the specific fields of mutual interest. The broader aim of the collaboration is to build a conducive environment for academic, research, and exchange collaboration to reap sustainable and meaningful benefits.
IRS, with the slogan “know thy neighbor”, was established in 1982 with the purpose to critically and objectively analyse the developments in the region, in order to effectively address the regional complexities and challenges. CIPS, as an academic think-tank, strives for a deeper understanding of the peace and conflict dynamics worldwide and come up with pragmatic solutions to the contemporary issues to foster an environment of peace and stability nationally as well as internationally.
