The briefing was followed by an interactive session whereby the delegates were further briefed about the current and future ventures of the Centre alongside insights about the Training framework at the PKT Department. Mr. Pereira appreciated the structure of CIPS, which combines both academic research and peacekeeping training, reflecting the futuristic approach of the Centre. Participants also discussed the future avenues of collaboration between the UN ad CIPS, especially within the domains of Climate change and its relation to conflict and conflict resolution. In the end, participants discussed the current trends/patterns of the insurgency in UN Peacekeeping Missions especially, MINUSMA and MONUSCO, and the role of UN Peacekeepers to counter the existing threats in the region.

After the discussion session, Brig. Imran extended the vote of thanks and presented the institutional souvenirs to the delegates. The delegate’s members were then requested for a group photograph after which they were taken on a guided tour of NUST. They were finally seen off by the faculty from CIPS in the afternoon.
