On March 10, 2023, the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies (PCS at CIPS) organized a guest lecture by Dr. Abida Abdul Khaliq, the Chairperson of International Centre for Professional Development (ICPD), Lahore. The lecture focused on the issue of gender-based violence and the legal channels available for victims seeking justice. Dr. Abida further discussed the impact of gender-based violence on society and emphasized the need for greater awareness and female empowerment.

The lecture was attended by PCS students and provided an opportunity to engage in a meaningful discussion . The department plans to continue organizing similar events to raise awareness about gender, conflict, and justice issues.
